The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) is a unique institution of higher education in the world which was founded in 1960 with a purpose of training specialists from foreign countries. For its semi-centennial history, the University has achieved itself a world renown and a well-deserved reputation; it became a big educational and a scientific centre with a leading position in the rating of Russian universities. The university is situated in the capital of Russia – Moscow, modern megapolis with a population of more than 12 million people. The University has the status of the State university; 27 000 international students from more than 140 countries study here; about 3000 teachers, about 80% of them have a doctorate degree (Ph.D); the structure of the university includes more than 20 academic buildings, more than 500 laboratories, and 12 hostels, occupy the total territory of the ground area of the university which is 54 hectares. For the last decades the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia has been constantly among the first five top Universities out of more than 3500 Russian state higher education establishments.
